Slumdog's kids live it up in Los Angeles

Danny Boyle celebrates with Azharuddin Ismail and Ayush Mahesh

Never in a million years did Rubina Ali and Mohammed Azharuddin, who have lived their lives in the slums of Mumbai, think they would go to America some day. But travel they did, and that too as the guests of honour at the prestigious Oscar awards!

Rubina and Mohammed are the only real-life slumdwellers among the young cast of Slumdog Millioniare, the film that won a whooping eight awards at the Oscars, including two for A R Rahman on Sunday.
