Monica Bedi can dance. But not well enough to win Jhalak Dhikhhla Jaa. The actress, who made a comeback to showbiz with Bigg Boss 2 after clearing her name from the whole Abu Salem mayhem, became the latest contestant to be eliminated from the celebrity dance show.
Though she impressed everyone with her performance, Monica landed in the face off round opposite Shilpa Shukla. Unfortunately for Monica, Shilpa won.
Monica tells Rajul Hegde what went wrong.
Did you expect to be eliminated?
Not really. I am not happy about it because I wanted to perform for a few more weeks. At the same time, I don't have any regrets. Since my elimination, my phone has been continuously ringing. The response from the viewers has been overwhelming.
Do you think you got less points because you missed a lift during the performance?
Yes. We wore satin outfits for the performance and I slipped during one of the lifts. Had we practiced with the same costume, we could have taken care of it or changed the fabric.
You performed well in the face off round but still got eliminated. What do you think was the reason?
I feel our performance was flawless in the face off round compared to the previous one. But maybe something was missing. Ultimately, it's the judges' decision and I have no complaints.
