Uday Kiran is back on track in Telugu films with his latest film Gunde Jhallumandi (directed by Madan). The film is scheduled for release on September 12.

Gunde Jhallumandi is a special film as far as my career is concerned. I have been fortunate to be associated with director Madan right from the beginning. Madan and I used to meet, interact and discuss stories after his film Pellaina Kothalo.
We were looking at something which would appeal to the young and family audience -- in other words, a simple film which would be entertaining and universal in appeal. We wanted a youthful film. Though I have been involved from the script stage, Gunde Jhallumandi is out-and-out Madan's baby.
