When I took part in the beauty pageant, I was very naïve and didn't know anything about the industry. I was very shy and nervous. I was surprised as to how I got selected in the first place. But I have changed, and matured. I have opened up to opportunities and become confident.

I joined the Tamil film industry, and worked with directors there. That helped me understand how the industry works. Not knowing the language was a problem, but I managed. I did Telugu films too. I have Telugu films in my kitty now.

Then came Hindi films. I auditioned for Hijack and got selected. Actually, I auditioned for Esha Deol's role but they thought I suited the other role.
