Profession/ Education: I'm in the army in the Gurkha Rifle regiment.
Background: Most of my family is in the army. Though I'm not trained, I love singing. I would listen to the army orchestra, and one day, I got a chance to sing in it. Everybody liked my voice, so I became a permanent singer. I also won awards for my regiment band. My seniors suggested that I try for Indian Idol, so I did.
Strongest competitor: Prashanjit Kosumbi is very talented. I am not a trained singer, so he helps me out.
What will you do with the prize money if you win? I will work with some non-government organisations, and fulfil my family's wishes.
