Bollywood isn't exactly known for its originality. We're always recycling plots and DVDs, and remixing evergreeen hits which is why we don't even blink when we see a movie picking its title from an older film.
We decided to a brief look at some movies that were too lazy to come up with their own names, and see how they match up against the original titles. Let's roll:
Dostana
Raj Khosla's film about two buddies turned on each other by the nefarious Prem Chopra remains eminently watchable because of the top-notch cast. Tarun Mansukhani's new film has nothing to do with the original -- save for being produced by Yash Johar's son Karan -- and happens to be a desification of the Adam Sandler film I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry. An entire film riffing on the Kantabai gag? Um, at least the Shilpa Shetty song is hot as hell.
