The style quotient on day one of the 61st edition of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival was a mixed bag. The opening ceremony featured some of entertainment's gorgeous women in fabulous (and some in not so hot) designer wear at the red carpet and then later at the opening ceremony dinner held at the Palais des Festivals on Wednesday.
Spotted at the premiere of Brazil's twice Oscar-nominated Fernando Meirelles' philosophical thriller Blindness was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looking fetching (though rather plump) in a strappy black gown.
