Hold that drink.
So, apparently, now reaching out for that second Glen double or even that modest Saturday afternoon beer is enough to brand you a villain, or so feels Health Minister Dr Ramadoss. The infamous Dr R, last in the news for taking on celluloid smokers, has now extended his grasp to on-screen drinking, decidedly ridiculous considering he's effectively stopping actors from drinking coloured water while marketplaces continue selling hooch and cigarettes.
Anyway, who are we to complain? We just think alcohol has provided us with significant on-screen memories -- and we're not even talking of the actors who had a couple of patiala pegs prior to staggering onto camera, presumably something Dr R would be fine with.
There are some great moments here, and obviously some glaring omissions. Several of these concern Amitabh Bachchan (Silsila and Satte Pe Satta were begging to be included) and we could well have made this a Angry Drunk Man top 10, but decided against it. Either way, mail me what you think I should have included.
Here we go, then: The 10 most memorable drunken moments in Hindi cinema, with video links to the top five.
