[Writer-turned-director] Abbas Tyrewala had approached me a while ago for Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. At that time, I was shooting for Bommarillu. So I was in the project even before Aamir Khan or his nephew [and lead actor] Imran Khan were involved. Jammu Sughand was the producer then. Due to some problems between Abbas and him, the project got shelved.
