Remakes that we would like to see

Ali Baba Aur 40 Chor

Even though the Hatimtai, Paatal Bhairavi and Ajooba brand of movies invite rebuke for their tacky thrills and terrible costumes, you got to admit they are unapologetically entertaining in their own corny way.

The standard of SFX and set-design is definitely a notch higher today. And so it would be good to see 1980's Ali Baba Aur 40 Chor in all its renewed glory.

Ideally, Farah Khan would be a great pick to direct this one. Her characteristic wit and marvelous showmanship is just what this Arabian fantasy needs. If the Krrish turned Akbar Hrithik Roshan and pretty ladies, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone, agree to slip into Dharmendra, Hema Malini and Zeenat Aman's shoes, this one might be sold on announcement. What else? Hatuba remix, yes.
