Do you have past acting experience, in school plays, etc?
No, no, no! I was a very dumb child. Though I used to get average marks, I was very aloof and a non-socialising kid. I had no friends and taking part in any annual function was a big no no.
But I was a very big thinker and I used to keep on thinking and thinking. I never thought that acting, plays and all would be my cup of tea, but see where I have landed? It's all God's wish.
Do you feel that commercial acting prepared you for Bollywood?
Yes. More than prepare, I can say it made me uninhibited and camera friendly. I was very comfortable while acting and having 1000 people watching me, which is a vital thing for newcomers. One has to be extra confident.
Do you feel like an outsider in the industry? Or have you been accepted readily?
Yes, I was accepted very well. I got a very good welcome from this industry, and it's increasing day by day. There is a long way to go.
How was it to work alongside Priyanka Chopra?
Priyanka is a very nice person and a very good co-actor. As acting is all about reacting, it's great fun working with her. She has given me loads of tips already.
Do you see yourself having her level of success in the future?
By God's grace. It's all part of the destiny.
So many models and actresses on the sets. Any catfights or tantrums?
No, no! Everyone is so friendly and all have been treated so well. So there is no room for tantrums!
