When Krish [Radhakrishna Jagarlamudi] made Gamyam little did he realise that it would be the most talked about film of 2008.
Gamyam completed 100 days recently and is still running in theatres in many parts of Andhra Pradesh.
Krish is delighted and happy that he was able to make a film in a commercial format with his sensibilities which has garnered critical acclaim and commercial success. Though the filmmaker is now busy with the pre-production of his second film, he took some time to talk about the success story of Gamyam . Excerpts:
Did you anticipate the kind of success you got now while filming Gamyam?
Absolutely not. I knew I made a good film and I was satisfied with that. I knew I would get to direct a film from another producer [Gamyam was produced by Krish's family]. The response to Gamyam has been overwhelming. My life before and after the film has been different. But success has come after six years of hard work.
