Ever since she was a little girl, Amita Mangat knew that she wanted to be an actress. Even though her father, producer Kumar Mangat [of Omkara fame] did not take her seriously, she stayed on track.
Now, after years of waiting, Amita's dream has finally come true. Her first film, Haal-e-Dil, also stars newcomers Adhyayan Suman [Shekhar Suman's son] and Nakuul Mehta.
Ameeta Gupta caught up with the young actress for details about her first film, and the advantages of being a producer's daughter. Excerpts:
Tell me about the film.
The film is about three young people trying to tell each other their Haal-e-Dil. It is about first love, what people do when they find it, and the lengths they can go to prove their love.
Is there a love triangle?
Well, my character, Sanjana, loves both these guys in her own way. But the love she has for both is not of the same kind. That is all I can say.
