Kate Bosworth doesn't believe in playing safe.
'I just don't do comfort zones,' she was quoted as saying about her roles. This 25-year old graduate has done a variety of roles ranging from a surfer in Blue Crush to an MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) student in her upcoming blackjack movie, 21.
Incidentally, this is the third time the slender actress is teaming up with Kevin Spacey (her co-star in 21). The other two outings were in Beyond The Sea (2004) and Superman Returns (2004).
In he new Hollywood thriller, which is an adaptation of the book, Bringing Down The House, Spacey plays a sardonic and manipulative MIT professor.
But back to Kate. After a small role in the 1998 Robert Redford starrer, The Horse Whisperer and Remember the Titans in 2000, Cate got her first leading role in the surfer movie, Blue Crush.
The movie got her noticed, which led to a variety of movie roles.
