Meena is one of the established actors in the South Indian film industry. She carved a niche for herself as a child star and has acted with some of the biggest names in the industry like Mammootty, Rajnikanth, Kamal Haasan and Chiranjeevi.
Her latest role sees her playing wife to Pashupathy in the Tamil remake -- Kuselan -- of the Malayalam hit, Kadha Parayumbol (she played Sreenivasan's wife).
Meena also essays the same role in the Telugu remake, Kathanayakudu (opposite Jagapathi Babu).
Read on as she tells Radhika Rajamani about Rajnikanth's Kuchelan and Kathanayakudu. Excerpts:
What prompted you to do the role in Kadha Parayumbol? Was it Sreenivasan's script?
Yes, it is. Sreenivasan has got a good sense of story, script and dialogues. I liked the character. It was something different for me. I've never played that kind of a character in Malayalam.
