The Films That Scared Ram Gopal Varma

Ram Gopal Varma may not be in his prime today, but the director has given us some very memorable films. In fact, the director has proven himself in every genre -- from action (Satya) to romantic comedies (Rangeela) to horror (Bhoot).

Now, he gets ready to spook the audiences once again with his new horror film, Phoonk, releasing this August.

We got the director to list the movies that scared him the most, and the director gave quite an interesting list. Take a look.

Do Gaz Zameen Ke Neeche

This film scared me a lot because I was very young when I watched it. I was in Std 10, and had no major exposure to cinema at that time.

After watching the film, I would avoid taking the shortcut home from school, which crossed a graveyard, because I was so scared. I took the three kilometer long walk instead.

Something in the film's plot scared me. It was about the murder of a man, and the murder soon starts haunting the murderers. That seemed very original to me when I saw it.
