Ontario Minister for Tourism, Peter Fonseca, who was the keynote speaker at the media briefing, said, "It is wonderful to have our special guests. On behalf of Premier Dalton McGuinty and Government of Ontario, I am honoured to welcome the world's most talented actors.
"The province has been working closely with show promoter Wizcraft and the city of Toronto to bring the Indian International Film Awards to Toronto in the future. Being India's version of the Oscars, the awards will be an incredible addition to Toronto's growing number of high-calibre international events," he added.
Amitabh, meanwhile, said Toronto may see more of him over the next few years if the Indian International Film Awards were hosted there.
