Ranvir Shorey attributes his new lease of life to Pyar Ke Side Effects and Khosla Ka Ghosla.
The actor is now gearing up for PNC's quirky romantic comedy -- Ugly Aur Pagli and is all praise for costar Mallika Sherawat. He swears by her professionalism and commitment to work.
But when it comes to his personal life, Shorey is not that chatty. So any questions about his supposed engagement to Konkona Sen Sharma remain unanswered. Swati R Chaudhary reports:
Tell us about Ugly Aur Pagli. Any specific reason behind the names?
The names have got nothing to do with playing ugly or pagli. These are just the names given to the two characters by each other. It's a quirky romantic comedy, the kind of romance you would normally not see onscreen. I play this young guy studying in an engineering college for a few more years than he should be. He falls in love with a strange woman (Mallika Sherawat) and catches himself in unanticipated circumstances. We are playing very unconventional characters.
What's with the 99 slaps and a kiss?
That's the tagline to give you a feel of the film. It gives you an insight into the kind of romance you can expect onscreen.
