People still fondly remember the highly talented late Shankar Nag's first Kannada film Minchina Ota that starred Anant Nag, Shankar Nag, Priya Tendular and Lokanath in important roles. It is considered as one of the best works of the late actor who was just 20-something then.
Now another film with the same title is being made by producer Sa Ra Govindoo with Vijaya Raghavendra and his brother Sree Murali in the lead.
M R Ramesh who made a name for himself with the award-winning film Cyanide is directing the film. Music is by V Manohar.
Other than Vijaya Raghavendra and his brother Sree Murali, the new Minchina Ota stars the girl from Belgaum, Lakshmi Rai, Rangayana Raghu, Suman and tennis star Krishna.
