Will Smith likes to save the world!

He might be a two-time Academy Award nominee -- for Ali and The Pursuit Of Happyness -- and a Grammy winner, but Will Smith likes saving the world.

Of course, being the only actor in history to have eight consecutive films grossing over $100 million apiece means he's not just saving summer cinema, but also Hollywood itself.

This Friday, he flies drunkenly onto Indian screens with the superhero movie Hancock.

It's a bizarre role but at a time when superhero movies are out virtually every week of the summer, it's an interesting idea to try and lampoon the genre from the inside.

Will stars as John Hancock, who is invulnerable, has superstrength, can fly and -- what a Hollywood dream -- does not age. It's definitely more about saving his image -- and his sanity -- than the world itself, but hey, it's Will as a superhero!

Here's a quick look at his previous roles as a blockbuster lifesaver.
