Shorts for Genelia, silk shirts for Imran!

Jaane Tu...Ya Jaane Na is turning out to be a family enterprise.

Co-produced by Aamir Khan and his uncle, Mansoor Khan, the film marks nephew Imran Khan's acting debut.

Here's another tid-bit -- Imran's mother, Nuzhat, also has a role in the movie -- that of costume designer! Co-designing the look of the film's cast is Ashley Rebello. He decided to walk us through the costumes:

I took up Jaane Tu because I am very close to Nuzhat. We had designed the costumes in Josh, directed by Mansoor Khan. In fact, I started my career with Mansoor in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander. So when he offered Jaane Tu to me, I said yes.

The briefing I got for the movie from (director) Abbas Tyrewala and Mansoor was that this film is about young college kids. Abbas told me that he did not want the colour blue on any of the costumes. But I convinced him that this was impossible as college-going kids wear a lot of blue denims.
