Jab We Met
There are several winning moments in Imtiaz Ali's charming on-the-move romance, Jab We Met.
What makes this one fun are its unlikely circumstances, fabulous conviction and a unstoppable Bhatinda kiBebo.
Having missed the train to Bhatinda, yet again, we witness a hassled Shahid Kapur provided company to Kareena Kapoor on the empty streets of Ratlam at an unearthly hour, while the latter harps about the same with starry-eyed fascination.
The conversation soon veers to Kareena aka Geet Dhillon impersonating Big B's 'Khush to bahut honge aaj' from Deewar and the superstar's sombre act in Agneepath.
Unaffected by Shahid's dead pan expression, Bollywood's answer to Eddie Murphy's Donkey (in Shrek), continues to yap nineteen to a dozen with 'Tumhare favourite actor kaun hai?' brand of queries till they reach the clearly shady 'Decent Hotel'. Mauja, mauja, indeed!
