Halla Bol, Anthony flop
|
|
The year started badly with both Halla Bol and My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves faring poorly at the box office.
In Halla Bol, Rajkumar Santoshi stuck to his old formula of masses joining forces with a single honest man taking on mighty villains like in his earlier film Damini. But such stories have been told dime a dozen since and people don't care for issue-based films any more.
E Niwas' My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves was a non-starter.
Note: Films are ranked according to their release dates. The thumbs ups and downs reflect rediff's views.
