Hema Malini
The gorgeous actress has been confident behind the camera for a while. She started in 1990, taking on the director's role for the well-received television series Noopur, and made her feature film debut in 1992 with Dil Aashna Hai.
Earnest and warmly made, the film starred Jeetendra, Dimple Kapadia, Amrita Singh, Mithun Chakraborty and the late Divya Bharati and generally met favourable reviews.
In 1995, Malini crafted an interesting telefilm called Mohini, a bonafide thriller with some good twists. All in all, the graceful danseuse has capably shown her ability to take charge.
