The 2007-08 Writers Guild Of America strike, that brings together both labour unions of WGA East and WGA West, started on November 5, 2007. The writers and their supporters are picketing against the
Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, the AMPTP. The strike involves more than 12,000
writers, and has been on for more than nine weeks.
