'I can't dream to be like my father'

Twenty-three year old Vineeth Sreenivasan has become quite a sensation in Malayalam films as a playback singer with hits from films like Udayananu Tharam, Classmates, Rasathanthram, Arabikkatha and Kadha Paryumbol.

Now, he is gearing up to set the screens ablaze as a hero in Cycle, directed by Johny Antony.

With quite a number of chartbusters to his credit, the engineering graduate and the son of the hugely talented actor Sreenivasan, hopes to continue the magic in his new avatar as well.

In a freewheeling chat, the singer-turned actor talks about his debut film, his dreams and lots more. Excerpts:

You have entered into a different arena and all set to make your debut as a hero, with Cycle. What is your current state of mind like?

I am enjoying every moment of it. Obviously acting requires more physical strain and I have put in real hard work. I am eager to know the viewers' response to my performance now.
