'We use soft focus to show a large crowd'

When there are many people involved, only the front rows are junior artists, dancers, or stuntmen. The rest are ordinary, inexperienced people. How do you shoot in such circumstances?

That's when we cheat. We sit together and plan before the shoot, keeping in mind what Ashutosh wants. Finding the right lens is also very important. For example, we use soft focus to show a large crowd.

While shooting, we may have a crowd of 1,000 people. But when we watch the film, you will see one lakh people!

How many cameras were used for these scenes? How long did the shooting take?

We had a maximum of six cameras for a fight scene. We had to shoot crowds, plus some special effects. We shot for 240 days.
