'I'd like people to listen and not just look at me'

Neha Dhupia's road to fame started when she won the Femina Miss India pageant in 2002. Then came her first hit, Julie, which got her noticed in Bollywood.

But that one big hit seems to be eluding her. And the actress hopes that Mithya -- releasing this Friday -- will do the trick for her.

Directed by Rajat Kapoor, the film also stars Ranvir Sheorey and Vinay Pathak.

Clad in simple blue denims, crisp white shirt and a red beaded necklace, Neha talks to Ameeta Gupta about her new film, her career mistakes, and her successes.

Lets begin with Mithya. What is it about?

It's a comic thriller. Mithya is a story about this guy called VK (Ranvir Sheorey) who comes to Mumbai to become an actor. After struggling for a role, he eventually gets one -- that of a Don. How he takes on the role is what this film is about.
