Shankar's movies always make news. More so, if it stars Tamil superstar Rajnikant. Even today, people talk about the hype their earlier film together, Sivaji, created.
Shankar was to direct Robot next, with Shah Rukh Khan. To be made in Hindi by his production house, the film was officially announced as well. But creative differences made them fall apart.
