Jayaraj trains his sights on a school teacher

National award-winning director, Jayaraj is back with his new Malayalam film, Gulmohar, which is a serious attempt at portraying the life of a school teacher. Writer-director Ranjith has been cast as Induchoodan, the school teacher.

Jayaraj has this uncanny ability to move from stylish commercial flicks to serious cinema.

Jayaraj has directed films which are resplendent with its variety in themes. Be it Deshadanam, Paithrukam, Johny Walker, Highway, 4 the People, Daivanamathil or Kaliyattam, the maverick director has always succeeded in unleashing his talents as a filmmaker on screen.

It was for Kaliyattam in 1997 that Jayaraj won the Best Director award at the national level
