Amitabh Bachchan has refused to be a part of Ram Gopal Varma's second attempt of the 1975 hit Sholay.
At a press conference last weekend, the actor was asked which role he would like to play in RGV's next remake, and Bachchan begged out. "I won't do it again," he said.
Bachchan was promoting his upcoming film, Bhoothnath, when he was asked this question.
RGV had recently announced that he was planning to remake Sholay once again after his first attempt, Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag bombed badly last year.
"I was advised by my lawyers that I could do the remake. But later, I was told I could not use the name of the film. Worse, I could not even use the characters' name like Gabbar, which eventually became Babban. Therefore, when I look back, I feel it went into mess," Ramu justified.
