'Don't force yourself to eat what you dislike'

Did you restrict her from having any kind of food?

No, I did not. Diet is misconceived as reducing the intake of food. You must always take care of your likes and dislikes and eat whatever you like. Don't force yourself to eat what you dislike.

People think that food like paneer, peanuts and walnuts are fattening and should be avoided. What they forget is the body needs fat too, in the form of essential fatty acids. You should eat the right kind of fat, to burn the fat in the body.

So Kareena had paneer, peanuts, walnuts, parathas... I just told her to eat regularly, in small quantities, without skipping a single meal.

What was her diet chart like?

I asked her to eat something as soon as she woke up, preferably fruits. I planned her diet chart on a fortnightly basis, depending on her shooting schedules. If her day's schedule is heavy and hectic, I told her to have parathas for breakfast. If she did not a heavy schedule for the day, I suggested something light like fruits or maybe half a paratha for breakfast.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. One should never skip that. You must eat something as soon as you wake up.

You should reduce the intake of tea or coffee, as it keeps you going without food for a long time. Since you should eat at regular intervals, you should reduce the intake of tea or coffee to about two cups a day.
