The role was very challenging. It is not easy to do comedy. You have to make sure you don't go over the top. And we had to be careful not to tease those who have such problems.

At the same time, the film should be entertaining, not serious. So to maintain the balance was quite challenging.

How was the environment on the sets?

It was totally masti time. We had a lot of fun while shooting. Most of us are funny, so we freaked out.

But we would wait for Suresh Menon to come on the sets. He was the funniest and came up with best one-liners! His comic timing is good too.

You have been doing a lot of comedy films. Is this a conscious effort?

Yes. I want to do a variety of roles. I don't want my audience to say I am typecast. I have done many serious, brooding roles and villain roles. Now, I don't want the audiences to get bored of me. But if I am doing comedy, I'm also doing 'thinking' roles.
