Irrfan Khan has emerged as one of the most brilliant actors of recent times, delivering great performances in films like The Namesake, Life... In A Metro and even Sunday.
This Friday, Irrfan promises to display his magic in Rakesh Roshan's production, Krazzy 4. The comedy, co-starring Arshad Warsi, Rajpal Yadav, Suresh Menon, Juhi Chawla and Dia Mirza, also features sizzling item numbers from Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Rakhi Sawant.
But it seems that Irrfan's best has yet to come. He has signed on to Shah Rukh Khan's production, Billo Barbar, Mira Nair's Kosher Vegetarian, and possibly a Yash Raj film as well.
He talks to Patcy N about being a star.
Tell us about your character in Krazzy 4.
Krazzy 4 is about four mentally challenged people. My character's problem is that he is a cleanliness freak. He wants everything to be clean -- from his mind to the atmosphere around him. Regular people also like cleanliness but his habit takes him to an extreme limit, where he turns bonkers.
Reportedly, the look of the four main characters took a month to get finalised.
A lot of research went into the looks of the four characters. They came up with a simple look for me, where I am wearing a suit. Since I am a cleanliness freak, my coat is 20 years old but it is still clean and intact.
