Poor show at the box office

Last week's releases, Shaurya, Bhram and Khuda Ke Liye did not fare well at the box office.

Plenty of steamy scenes, sexy women and gorgeous men.

Too many twists in the plot.

Khuda Ke Liye

Cast: Naseeruddin Shah, Shaan and Iman Ali.
Director: Shoaib Mansoor.
Tackles a bold and controversial theme, which attacks Islamic fundametalism in a subtle way.values.

Bad production

Number of weeks: New.
BO Verdict: Poor collection.


One Two Three

Cast: Tusshar Kapoor, Suniel Shetty, Manoj Pahwa, Sameera Reddy, Tanisha, Esha Deol, Neetu Chandra
Director: Ashwani Dheer.
Tusshar Kapoor.

Terrible comedy, poor direction.

Number of weeks: 1.
BO Verdict: Flop.


Love Songs: Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

Cast: Jaya Bachchan, Om Puri, Shahana Chatterjee.
Director: Jayabrato Chatterjee.
Sensitive film, good performances.

Bad music.

Director: Abbas-Mustan.
Katrina's stylish sexiness; Anil Kapoor's screen presence.

Unoriginal, over-twisted plot; badly written and executed.

BO Verdict: Hit.


Black & White

Cast: Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Anurag Sinha, Aditi Sharma.
Director: Subhash Ghai.
Good intent, fine performances, restrained effort.

Awkward romantic track, some overdone cliches.

Number of weeks: 3.
BO Verdict: Flop.


Jodhaa Akbar

Cast: Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Poonam Sinha, Ila Arun, Nikitin Dheer, Sonu Sood.
Director: Ashutosh Gowariker.
Hrithik's terrific performance, awesome music.

Much too long, Gowariker tries to tackle too many aspects of Akbar's life and does not do justice to any.

Number of weeks: 5.
BO Verdict: Average.
