A thriller named Accident
To the question why he has decided to make a thriller when his comedies were so successful, the actor turned director said, "Well, I wanted to move out of my comfort zone of making comedies by directing a different film. So I thought, why not a thriller?
"Then came to mind an accident that resulted in the death of a man at an unmanned railway gate and the subsequent sting operations by a television channel.
"When I started working with my writer Rajendra Karanth, I was able to get a perfect script for the thriller. I have learnt more as a director in this film than in my two previous films. It is certainly a great learning experience to direct a thriller. I had the support of a top technical team."
