Saawariya, live!

There were tears, laughter, and of course music at the music launch of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya on Saturday, September 15. The film marks the debut of Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor.

The music has been composed by Monty Sharma, who is the nephew of Pyarelal, one half of the Laxmikant-Pyarelal duo. Monty had also composed the background score for Devdas and Black.

An overwhelmed Monty Sharma thanked Bhansali for giving him a break in the film.

Lyricist Sameer was also happy to get a chance to work with the acclaimed director. "I have written 500 films and after working so hard, I got a chance to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I am happy to be a part of this group," he said.

Sample the music for yourself as singer Richa Sharma performs the title track from the film.
