Sanjay was born on 29 July 1959, within a year of their marriage. His birth transformed Mom.
She could finally put away her collection of dolls that she had kept all her life, as she now had the baby she longed for. Then on 5 January 1962 I was born and named Namrata -- though everyone in the family called me Anju to rhyme with Sanju!
And, finally, Priya was born on 28 August 1966. The family was complete. From Nargis and Sunil Dutt, they became simply Mom and Dad.
