My origin: Dallas, Texas

My entry in MS: Manoj was looking for an American actress working in the Indian film industry. He saw me in Kabul Express and immediately signed me up.

Role in MS:I play an American in Mumbai looking to broaden her social sphere and who falls for an anti-American.

My first job: My first Hindi film was Kabul Express and my first American independent film was the LA Film Festival winner -- The Process of Creative Deception.

Shooting with the gang: Seeing the guys dance for the title track was really funny.

My struggling years: I worked as bartender in New York. I would study acting during the weekends. It was a life changing experience for a small-town girl like me. Though I have done some independent films and commercials in America, I felt a connection with India and its people. I don't know the future here but believe we all are warriors fighting for betterment.

Future films: I'll be seen with Mammooty in Pazhassi Raja.
