Fans go crazy for Voice of India

Star's Voice of India, The Grande Finale, held at Mumbai's Andheri Sports Complex on Saturday evening, was attended by thousands of cheering, devoted fans and celebrities alike.

The event was six months in the making, starting off with twelve great singers. Over the months, as the audience voted, each week a singer was eliminated, a dream was crushed. And then, there were two...

The stage was set for the final showdown between the Punjab di Shaan, Ishmeet Singh and UP ka Laadla, Harshit Saxena.

The crowd

This show would be nothing without its devoted fan following. The gates to the venue were opened at 5pm and nearly half the ground was full within minutes. The fans came in numbers to root for their chahite sitare and watch them perform live.

Meet the Desai Family from Baroda, Gujarat

. "We both are here to cheer for Harshit!" said the Desai sisters, Jayati and Kavya. "We travelled all the way just for one day to watch him sing."

"We've been voting for him since the beginning, 15 smses each every week," added Kavya. Most of the Desai family are Harshit supporters, except Mr Desai himself, who's an Ishmeet fan, "I'm only here for Ishmeet. He's my choice for Voice of India."
