They call him 50 Cent, and he brought the groove to Mumbai on Sunday, November 18.
The hip-hop superstar -- easily the most current of the acts to hit India in recent times -- did well to rock the house, but the house itself wasn't as big.
Mumbai's MMRDA grounds -- still reeling from a Beyonce debacle which saw a ridiculous 2,000 person turnout -- was clamped down to within a third of its size, and with tickets priced reasonably -- Rs 1,000 being the most expensive -- enough to seduce crowds heading into clubs likely to play songs from the rapper's repertoire.
The result: About 4,000 odd fans -- at generous estimate -- but those who came had a helluva blast.
