Her performance in Mira Nair's The Namesake wowed audiences worldwide, with some comparing her to Meryl Streep.
Now, everyone's waiting to see Tabu's magic again in Cheeni Kum, where she stars opposite Amitabh Bachchan.
Tabu took time out from her hectic shuttling between Hyderabad (where she is doing up her new house) and Mumbai to talk with Radhika Rajamani about Cheeni Kum and The Namesake, and her decision to cut down on films.
On Cheeni Kum
Working with Mr Bachchan was great. His sincerity, enthusiasm and dedication towards work is amazing. He would energised the whole unit.
Working with Zohra Sehgal was fun too. She had a punchline for all my situations. We celebrated her 92nd birthday on the sets.
I was looking forward to working with her and Mr Bachchan and I was sure we would enjoy this experience.
Now, I want to enjoy the experience and not be bothered about the results. Cheeni Kum was one of the nicest experiences. We shot in Delhi, Mumbai and London.
