There has been some friction between Ekta and Smriti for a while now.
Earlier, Smriti had always credited Ekta for bringing her fame and recognition.
Now, years after she starred as Tulsi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Smriti wants out.
Trouble first started when Smriti expressed concern about the serial jumping two decades. But Ekta went ahead with the plan.
But the turning point was when Smriti turned producer and launched her own serial Virrudh on a rival channel, and posing stiff competition to Ekta's serials in the same time slot.
Now, we wonder if the new Tulsi can replace the old.
