I had worked with some of them earlier, like Omji . I had worked with him in Maachis. Rohit and Neha are good friends. I had worked with Simone in an album a while ago. Also, our director Anand Kumar, and his entire team was very young. It was very comfortable woking there.

This is Anand's first film. He has done a lot of ads in Delhi. He is based there.

Is it wise to work with a new director?

I don't think like that. It's a great film, and I want to be a part of it. I have worked with newcomers like Tigmanshu Dhulia (Haasil), Shoojit Sircar (Yahaan) and Raju Hirani (Munnabhai MBBS) before. All of them have become good directors today.

If someone comes up with a good idea, and a refreshing role, I will take it up.

Tell us about your look in the film. You have coloured hair, which you haven't tried before.

Yes, I haven't tried it earlier. But I liked it. The director wanted me to do something different to add gloss to the film.

At the same time, there is a certain amount of realism. Even though this is his first film, he is very clear of what he wanted. He was clear about the music, the look of the film... He brought a stylist from Mumbai.
