For a country so obssessed about its cricket, we've had a remarkably low turnout of films on the subject. Now, with the World Cup fever back in full swing, we decided to take a look at our cinematic cricketers:

Always known for picking distinctive themes for films, Dev Anand set the ball rolling with this behind-the-times story, also starring Aamir Khan and Aditya Pancholi. A melodramatic saga of a doomed India-Australia series, this avoidable film is important simply because it came first.
