Many of Bollywood's and Hollywood's sexiest actors will not be caught dead with a steak on their plate. They are proud to be munching celery sticks. Or having haute cuisine dinners of pasta sans meatballs. Ditto for quite a few of the world's most famous singers.

Incidentally, these are not temporary fads. These people have been veggie long term. And many of them are emphatic vegetarians.

Let us introduce you to these green folk:

Natalie Portman

Perhaps you knew that the delectable Natalie Portman (V for Vendetta, Closer, Cold Mountain) was born Natalie Hershlag? And in Jerusalem, Israel?

And that she was 'discovered' in a pizza parlour, when she was 11, in New York.

Bet you didn' know that she has been a strict vegetarian since she was eight, after she saw chicken being fried.

She was also voted runner up in the sexiest vegetarian contest hosted by animal activist organisation PETA.
