Harry Potter spreads magic at the box office

Last week's release Naqaab proved to be a damp squib at the box office. It failed to show the mastery of the director duo over thrillers.

On the other hand, the Hindi version of Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix is a money-spinner.

Trade pundit Vinod Mirani tells us the fate of these films.

Harry Potter And The Order Of The Phoenix

Cast: Daniel Radcliff, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint.
Director: David Yates.
One of the best made Harry Potter movies so far.

Not quite as dramatic as the book.

BO Verdict: Hit.



Cast: Akshaye Khanna, Bobby Deol, Urvashi Sharma.
Director: Abbas-Mustan.
Interesting concept, well-shot.

Could have been much better, terrible climax.

Bombay To Goa

Cast: Sunil Pal, Raju Shrivastava, Ehsaan Qureshi, Tinu Anand, Vijay Raaz, Asrani, Jagdeep.

Funny in parts

Long and monotonous screenplay.

Number of weeks: New.
BO Verdict: Disappointing.

My Friend Ganesha

Cast: Kiran Jhanjhani, Sheetal Shah, Upasana Singh and Ehsaas.
Director: Rajiv S Ruia.
Good performances from Ehsaas and Upasana Singh.

Shoddy production, average graphics.

BO Verdict: Opens badly.


Aap Kaa Surroor: The Moviee: The Real Luv Story

Great music, beautiful locales

Predictable story, very okay performances.
