The magic: A brave hearted commoner falls head over heels for a pretty princess. The King, expectedly, objects. He challenges the guy to become rich if he wants to marry the princess.

With the help of a scheming sorcerer, he takes on one Herculean task after another. On realising the sorcerer's real intentions, he resolves to defeat him at his own game. And of course, he does.

The movie: Pataal Bhairavi amuses at many levels. For one, it's never short of inanities. Plus, there is Kader Khan's atrocious get up, Dimple Kapadia's turn as a crocodile and Jeetendra and Jaya Pradha's disco moves to keep the viewer constantly baffled. What's more? The garish costume drama cum cheesy fairy tale raked in the moolah too.
