A three-day weekend will be the biggest advantage for Salaam-E-Ishq at the box office. The film releases on January 26, Republic Day, and the promos look thrilling.

Vaguely based on Love Actually, Ishq tells the stories of six couples, featuring a mega cast, including Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, John Abraham and Vidya Balan.

Salman plays the lead and talented Kal Ho Naa Ho director Nikhil Advani directs. After Advani moved away from Dharma Productions there were no takers for him, until Salman stepped in to back the project, bringing the stellar cast with him.

Two years went into the film's making, and many believed Salaam-E-Ishq would never be completed.

Now, it stands poised to be one of the grandest releases of 2007.
