Filmmaker Vishnu Vardhan is a frightened man.
And what is scaring him is the Tamil film he is directing, Billa. The remake of Rajnikanth's film of the same name is creating a lot of buzz that the young director can't help but feel a little nervous of all the hype.
Though not new to films -- this is his fourth film after Karuthu, Arindum Ariyamalum and Pattiyal -- the director is feeling jittery because this is the first time that he is directing a big star, Ajith.
Vishnu started his career as a child artist in Mani Ratanm's Anjali but chose to pursue filmmaking instead of acting. After graduating from Loyola College in Visual Communications, the 20-year old went to assist Santosh Sivan in Terrorist.
Then followed Fiza, Santhosh Sivan's ad films and Ashoka. After Ashoka, Sivan asked him to start making his own films, and he did just that. Vishnu again assisted Sivan in Navarasa after making Arindum Ariyamalum.
Now, in the midst of the re-recording for Billa, Vishnu talks about the biggest film of his career.
